Orange Peel Chicken

- 3/4 pound boneless chicken breast shopping list
- 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce shopping list
- 2 teaspoons rice wine shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ginger root minced shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil shopping list
- 1/3 cup peanut oil shopping list
- 2 dried red chilies halved lengthwise shopping list
- 1 tablespoon orange peel coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon fine ground roasted peppercorns shopping list
- 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil shopping list
How to make it
- Cut chicken into thin slices 2” long cutting across the grain.
- Put into a bowl together with soy sauce, rice wine, ginger, cornstarch and 1 teaspoon sesame oil.
- Mix well then allow mixture to marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in wok until it is very hot then remove chicken from marinade with a slotted spoon.
- Add to pan and stir fry 2 minutes then remove and leave to drain in a colander.
- Pour off most of the oil leaving about 2 teaspoons.
- Reheat pan over high heat then add chilies and stir fry 10 seconds then return chicken to pan.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir fry 4 minutes mixing well then serve immediately.
