Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cut bread in 1 inch slices to within 1 inch of bottom of loaf. Do not cut through. Repeat slices in opposite dirction.
  • Stuff cheese cubes and mushrooms in between slices.
  • Place the rest of ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes- or until butter is melted. Spoon butter mixture over loaf, getting it down into crevices.
  • Wrap loaf in foil.
  • Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until cheese is melted.

    I bet this looks fantastic as it sounds.
    I will try it using some dried exotic mushrooms I have along with some baby bellas I have too.

    Mmmmm...this sounds fabulous! We have a local eatery that makes something similar, but they use pepperoni and mozzerella...I love the pairing of the swiss and the mushrooms, very nice and a great post! High 5! ~Laura ;D

    This reminds me alot of my Parmesan Cheese Bread, my most loved bread recipe. You do it exactly the same way, but use parmesan and no mushrooms. This sounds like a nice alternative to that. Thanks.
