How to make it

  • Saute onion in butter for 2-3 minutes
  • Stir in flour, salt and dry mustard
  • Slowly add milk, stir until thick
  • Add rest of seasonings stir.
  • Arrange cheese, sauce and carrots in layers top with crumbs and bake at 325 for about 30 minutes until bubbly.
  • Amazing how the old recipes are to fattening, but so good!
