Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 pounds Chuck Roast
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Beef Drippings
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 tablespoon Flour ; (for gravy)
  • 3/4 cup Water ; (for gravy)

Directions
  1. Rub cut surface of the meat with garlic powder.
  2. Brown roast in 2 tablespoons oil in cooker, reserved drippings.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Add tomato sauce.
  5. Cover, place in a 350°F oven for 2-3 hours.
  6. Remove meat.
  7. Put the pan over a burner and heat gently.
  8. Mix flour and cold water, when drippings come to a boil slowly add flour mixture to drippings, stirring constantly until you get the right thickness.
