Jello-thing-a-ma-jig Recipe

Ingredients

2 small boxes jello, (I had black cherry, but any flavor would do)

2 cups hot water

1 lg can evaporated milk - chilled

Directions

Disolve both boxes of jello in the hot water

When dislolved, pour in can of chilled evaporated milk

Stir until well blended.

Freeze for about 15 minutes, stir and return to freezer for another 15 minutes.

Leaving it in the freezer for 30 minutes sets it, so it's more like a custard consistancy. If you leave it in longer, it gets more of an ice cream/sherbert consistancy.

This does sound interesting! enough so, that I am willing to give it a try for my Grandchildren!....Except for one thing...and I am sure that as soon as you clear this up for me...I will be on my way to the market to buy the right kind of milk! In the recipe it says condensed milk and then (evaporated milk)...which is it?...I suspect it is condensed milk, I just want to make sure!
