Chinese Broccoli Recipe
I obtained this from an estate sale a few years ago and have made it several times. It is very good. Enjoy.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound broccoli
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small white onion diced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock

Directions
  1. Wash broccoli and cut into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook onion until golden.
  3. Add broccoli and cook over medium heat stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
  4. Add soy sauce and sugar.
  5. Blend cornstarch and chicken stock then add to broccoli mixture.
  6. Cook over high heat for 1 minute stirring constantly until thickened.

I just made this recipe tonight for dinner and it was a big hit. In fact, I've made a note to myself: DON'T START THE SERVING BOWL ON THE END OF THE TABLE WHERE THE TEENAGE BOYS SIT (or there won't be any left for people on the other end).
