Scalloped Potatoes With Fresh Herbs And Sour Cream

- 6 medium potatoes shopping list
- 2 small onions shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 3 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil shopping list
- 3 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives shopping list
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme shopping list
- 2 tbso finely chopped fresh oregano shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and finely slice potatoes and onions
- melt butter at medium heat
- add flour, salt, pepper, and minced garlic, cook and stir for 2 minutes
- add milk and stir constantly until mixture just starts to boil
- take off heat and mix in fresh herbs and sour cream
- layer half the potatoes and onions in a caserole dish, cover with sauce, lifting it a bit here and there so the sauce gets all through it, repeat with second half of potatoes, onions and sauce
- cover and bake at 350 F for 1 hour
- remove cover and bake for another 1/2 hour

I have a similar recipe (i use cream instead of milk - yours is probably healthier), but you add so much more herbs - sounds wonderful
