This is a recipe for the famous Mississippi Gulf Coast Fisherman's Wharf pie.

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 9 inch pie shell, unbaked
  • Whipped cream and nutmeg for garnish

Directions
  1. Cream butter and sugar together for 1 minute. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat until fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes. Add cream and vanilla. Beat a few minutes.
  2. Pour mixture in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  3. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream and grated nutmeg.
