This is fantastic and will be one of the easiest desserts in your recipe file. Sorry if it's out there already - didn't see it but couldv'e missed it. We call this candy bar cake but there was already a cake with that name posted.

Ingredients
  • boxed chocolate cake mix, pudding in the mix is nice but not required
  • ingredients to prepare cake per package directions
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tub non dairy whipped topping (cool whip)
  • broken up candy bar(s) of your choice, or mini M&Ms, etc. Generally need 1 1/2 - 2 standard sized bars. We are especially fond of Krackle bars for this cake but run with your personal fav.

Directions
  1. Make the cake according to package directions.
  2. WHILE STILL HOT: poke holes all over the cake - everywhere. I've used a knife, cake tester, etc. to get this done. Don't try to tear up the cake but don't worry about cosmetics. It won't show.
  3. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the still warm/hot cake. Get it everywhere, slowly, giving it some time to soak in. It may puddle in the middle of the cake but believe-you-me, there is nothing wrong with that!
  4. Let cake cool.
  5. Once cool, spread with cool whip and then sprinkle w/ broken candy bar, M&M's etc.
  6. This will be very moist and rich from the sweetened condensed milk. Enjoy. Great for bring-a-dish occasions.
