Fondue Is Back - Family Style

- 3 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 3 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- dash white pepper shopping list
- dash nutmeg shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 lb process swiss cheese shopping list
- 1 tsp W-shire sauce shopping list
- dash of Tabasco sauce shopping list
- 1/3 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 2 Tbsp kirsch (or milk if preferred) shopping list
- French bread, cut in 1 inch cubes shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in ceramic fondue pot over a moderate direct flame.
- Stir in next 5 ingredients.
- Stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thickened slightly. Lower flame.
- Add cheese, a small amount at a time and stir until cheese is melted after each addition.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except for the bread.
- See note above: use more than just bread. Be creative.
