How to make it

  • Combine ingredients except for maple flavour in a saucepan and whisk smooth.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and stir in flavouring.
  • Store in fridge and stir before using.

    I use to use Mapleline when I made my own syrup. I'm glad you can heat Splenda, because with Equal, unless they've changed it, you couldn't.

    I use maple flavouring from McCormick (found in the baking aisle). It's similar to vanilla in composition though obviously a different flavour. Thanks for the tip!

    I've never tried your recipe and have no idea what maple syrup flavoring is. but if you take 2 TBS fenugreek seeds and steep them in a simple syrup using splenda you get maple syrup flavoring.
