How to make it

  • In Medium or large pot, Cook onions, celery, garlic, bell peppers, ham and sausage in olive oil and butter until veggies are tender and meat is lightly browned.
  • Add tomatoes, broth, sauce, spices and bring to a boil.
  • Add Okra and lower to a med/low simmer.
  • Cook for 10 minutes on med/low heat.
  • Season with spices and stir in burgundy.
  • Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Serve over hot cooked rice.
