Sesame Chicken

- 3 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts shopping list

- 2 Tbsps. light soy sauce shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. white cooking wine shopping list
- a few drops of sesame oil shopping list
- 2 Tbsps. flour shopping list
- 2 Tbsps. cornstarch shopping list
- 2 Tbsps. water shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil shopping list

- Sauce for Sesame Chicken: shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 1/8 cup vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbsps. dark soy sauce shopping list
- 2 Tbsps. sesame oil shopping list
- 1 tsp. chili paste, or more if desired shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list

- 2 Tbsps. toasted sesame seeds shopping list
- 3 1/2 - 4 cups peanut oil for deep frying shopping list
How to make it
- Cut the chicken into 1" cubes. Mix the marinade ingredients and marinate the chicken for 20 minutes.
- To prepare the sauce: mix together all of the sauce ingredients. Pour them into a small saucepan, and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Turn the heat down to low and keep warm while you are deep frying the chicken.
- To deep fry the chicken: add the marinated chicken pieces a few at a time, and deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remainder of the chicken.
- Just before you are finished deep frying, bring the sauce back up to a boil.
- Place the chicken on a large platter and pour the sauce over. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice.
