Ingredients

How to make it

  • on a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out pastry an 8 x 12-inch rectangle*****
  • in a small bowl ... combine sugar and cinnamon and set aside
  • in a small saucepan, melt butter
  • add raisins and pecans to butter and stir until well coated
  • spread raisin mixture evenly over pastry dough
  • sprinkle sugar mixture over raisin mixture
  • beginning at the long edge, roll up pastry.
  • brush with egg yolk on the long side to seal
  • place on a greased baking sheet
  • bake in preheated 350' F oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown
  • cool completely....cut into 1-inch thick slices
  • makes 12 pinwheels
  • ****** don't let the puff pastry dry out..... i do the cinnamon sugar and the melting of the butter first then the pastry dough

    I am going to make these up today :o) I have banana bread in the oven now. When it is finished I will make these :o) Great for kids lunches and an easy snack :o) YUM YUM!

    I love these but I've had them with walnuts..I will try with pecans which I like better anyway. YUM!
