A wonderful, wonderful side for grilled meats, pork, brisket, chicken, etc.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons vegetale oil
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans cream style corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup yellow corn meal
  • 2 (4 ounce) cans green chilies
  • 1 (8 ounce) package Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions
  1. In medium size bowl, combine, corn, garlic powder, eggs and corn meal
  2. Spread 1/2 mixture in a greased 2 quart casserole
  3. Top with 1 can chilies, and 1/2 of the cheese
  4. Repeat layers
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes
  6. Delicious
