Mexican Sloppy Joes

- 1 pound ground turkey or ground beef shopping list
- 1 package Mexican style rice and pasta mix (like rice-A-Roni) shopping list
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix (or your favorite home-made equivalent) shopping list
- butter and water as directed on rice mix shopping list
- 8 hamburger buns shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet, brown the ground turkey or ground beef. Drain off the fat and set meat aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and sautee the rice and pasta. When pasta is golden, add the water, rice mix seasoning packet, and taco seasoning mix. Bring to a boil.
- Return the meat to the skillet with the rice mixture. Stir well.
- Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
