Ingredients

How to make it

  • Bring cream, and water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  • Add cheese and stir well.
  • Add butter, salt, and pepper.
  • Slowly stir in grits and reduce heat. Cook 15 to 20 minutes over low heat, stirring OFTEN!
  • Do NOT allow to stick to pan or scortch

    I LOVE grits...and I'm not southern or country! I confess I fell in love with grits when my husband and I first discovered a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Alabama. I can't wait 'til this chain opens in California...it will be my downfall!
