Maple Cookies
From obajoo 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 stick (4 oz) of butter, melted shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- scant 1/4 cup maple syrup shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 1/2 flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- Extra sugar for sprinkling shopping list
- parchment or wax paper shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with paper and set aside. (Do NOT skip this step! Ever tried scraping bubblegum off hot pavement? Yeah. You’ll be doing that with these cookies.)
- 1. Mix the first four ingredients in a bowl. Mix until combined.
- 2. Add the egg, and mix until smooth.
- 3. Add the dry ingredients, and mix. This won’t look like cookie dough, it looks more like a think batter.
- 4. Drop with teaspoons onto the lined baking sheets. Bake for 11 - 13 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. Take them out and sprinkle with sugar while they’re still hot and let cool on the sheets until they are cool enough to handle. Peel them off the paper and move to racks to cool completely.
