Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds... finely chopped

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 300' F.
  2. in a 2-quart saucepan bring corn syrup to a full boil
  3. add butter
  4. cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter melts ( about 3 -5 minutes)
  5. remove from heat
  6. stir in flour, brown sugar, and almonds.
  7. drop Tablespoonfuls 4-inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
  8. bake only 4 cookies per sheet.
  9. bake at 300" F for 11 - 15 minutes or until the cookies are bubbly all over
  10. Let Cool On Cookie Sheets For 1 Minute
  11. then work quickly, remove and shape the cookies over inverted small custard cups to form cups..
  12. cool completely... remove from custard cups
  13. just before serving fill each cup with a large scoop of ice cream
  14. and drizzle with chocolate syrup
