Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine sugar, juice and zest in small saucepan.
  • Simmer over very low heat for 10 minutes, or until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add strawberries and continue to simmer over very low heat for 20 minutes, until strawberries release juices and mixture boils slowly.
  • Cook until a very small amount gels on a cold plate. (put a small plate in freezer during prep time, put small amount on plate, if it starts to get and not run, it's ready)
  • Pour into 2 pint jars and seal or keep refrigerated.
  • **Great on toast, ice cream or french toast!

I like that show on Food Network; however for the longest time I thought the show was "in a garden". I was wondering when they were going to show her garden or was the food she was cooking from her garden. I won't convey how long it took before I realized that, that was her name. Thanks for the post. It gets my 5!

I'm actually not sure you could use raspberries to make that jam....strawberries have a natural pectin (in the white part), that's why you don't have to add it. But it would make delicious raspberry preserves! :-)
