Self-shaping Bread

- 2 pkg yeast shopping list
- 1/2 cup warm water shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups self-rising flour shopping list
- 1 3/4 cups milk shopping list
- 3 tbsp melted butter shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 tbsp sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Mix the dry ingredients together
- Add the yeast and sugar to the water.
- Let the yeast work about ten minutes, or until frothy.
- Add flour to knead, and keep adding until stickiness is controlled, and the dough is easy to handle.
- Let it rise until doubled in bulk, punch down, and knead again briefly until the dough is smooth and elastic....
- Divide for number of loaves you desire ---
- place on flat sheets for rounded loaves, or shape into loaves for loaf pans
- --- let rise until doubled--
- bake until golden brown on top...
- brush with water/egg mixture for firmer crust, or brush with oil for softer crust.
- Bake at 350* until golden-- approx 35-45 minutes --t
- urn oven down to 325 for another ten minutes if still not done.
- Loaves -- when tapped on top --will sound hollow when done.
