How to make it

  • Cream together
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp shortening
  • Add remaining ingredients, and mix well.
  • Pour batter into greased and floured cake pan
  • bake 45 min to 1 hour in a slow oven--- 300 - 325*F

    I love your banana cake! Delicious and a 5 from me! Do you know what I found out? If you add a small espresso cup of espresso coffee to the dough it brings out the banana flavor in an unbelievable way! Try it when you get the chance!

    Very good, nice banana flavor and very easy to make. I added walnuts simply because bananas always go with walnuts in my baking world. ;) I baked it in a 9 x 13" pan and frosted with a buttercream frosting and sprinkled with additional walnuts. I added a picture.
