Stuffed Onions

I use onions in practically everything....To have one as a side on it's own is great for me because, yes, I am an onion lover
Ingredients
- 4 large onions, I use vidalia shopping list
- 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 2 tsp. chili powder shopping list
- 2 tsp. ground oregano shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400
- Core onion making it look like a bowl
- Take core of onion and chop
- In mixing bowl, mix together chopped onion, bread crumbs, celery, cornmeal, butter, chili powder and oregano
- Fill each onion with filling
- Put in baking dish
- Add water to dish and cover
- Bake at 400 degrees until onions are tender, about 35 minutes
