Corny Corn Chowder

- 1 (2 inch) sq. of bacon shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 medium potatoes, diced shopping list
- 3 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 1 can creamed corn shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme or 1 tbsp. fresh shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups milk, homogenized, evaporated milk or half n' half cream shopping list
- *I prefer half n' half cream shopping list
- paprika shopping list
How to make it
- Dice bacon and fry slowly in large pot.
- Remove, drain on paper towels and set to one side.
- Sauté onion in bacon drippings.
- Add potatoes, broth, pepper and thyme.
- Simmer covered for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
- Stir in creamed corn and milk, and whisk to blend.
- Taste for seasoning.
- Garnish with bacon and paprika.
