Cherry Delights

This is a very old recipe. I started making these in the 1970's and I usually make them every Christmas. They are light and moist. The recipe originally came from a Karo syrup advertisement. The original advertisement is quite fragile and it's getting hard to read, but now I don't have to worry about losing it anymore! Read more Hope you try them. See less
Ingredients
- Mix 1 cup margarine (or butter) and 1/2 cup sugar. shopping list
- Stir in 1/2 cup Karo light corn syrup, 2 egg yolks and 2 1/2 cups flour. Chill. shopping list
- roll into 1-inch balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg whites, then into 2 cups finely chopped nuts (I used walnuts). Place on greased baking sheet. Press candied cherry halves into centers (I use red and green). shopping list
How to make it
- Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
