How to make it

  • combine the flour and the salt in a mixing bowl
  • cut in the Fluffo with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal
  • sprinkle water over mixture 1 TBSP. at a time
  • mix using a fork
  • continue until the flour is moistened.
  • divide into 2 balls and wrap in plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until the dough is chilled
  • roll pastry on a lightly floured board to 1/8-inch thickness
  • use short light strokes from the center to the outer edges
  • keep dough round
  • makes 2 crusts...

  • tips... make sure every thing you use it cold...
  • use a very light hand in rolling out dough
  • don't pack the dough into a ball do it very gently just until it holds together...
  • chill your bowl
  • put the pie crust back in the refrigerator after you get it in the pie plat to chill it back down
  • make Sure you oven is at the correct temperature before putting the pie in...

    Flour:fat ratio is exactly 3:1. This recipe will have to wait its turn peetabear. I have a couple more in line to try first.
