How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x13 pan.
  • Beat cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream in a large bowl on medium
  • speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spread half the batter
  • in the pan.
  • Stir together brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter
  • in pan. Carefully spread remaining batter evenly over pecan mixture.
  • Bake about 45 minutes or until deep golden brown (I baked mine for 40 minutes).
  • Stir together powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Add additional milk
  • if needed to make thin enough to spread. Prick surface of warm cake several times with a fork. Spread icing evenly over cake (it will be a thin layer of glaze). Cool completly.
  • 12-15 servings
