I had this slaw MANY years ago when I lived in NC. I was reminded of it last night when I watched a special on BBQ. I'll be making this recipe for Labor Day to go with some ribs!

Ingredients
  • 1 head of cabbage shredded (I will get the sack of pre-shredded slaw mix)
  • 1 cup of mayo
  • 3 TBS tomato-based bbq sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 1 TBS ketchup
  • 1 TBS cider vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Mix everything well except the cabbage;
  2. Pour the dressing mixture over shredded cabbage;
  3. Chill for one hour before serving.
