How to make it

  • heat milk until 100* add honey and yeast let stand for a while
  • melt butter and add sugar, let it kina caramel and brown up
  • place egg yolks in a large bowl with salt
  • sift flour with baking soda and powder
  • add butter mix to eggs and then add yeast mix-get all your honey it settles down to the bottom-
  • now pour all flour into yeast butter and eggs just until it combinds with no clumps
  • let stand on hot stove for 30 min
  • place on floured suface after rising it will look very bubbley and will smell of yeasty buttery goodness
  • but you flour the ball and cut into small long stripes make sure you have an even amount
  • take two strings on doung and twist them together place on a buttered cookie sheet and let them rise again either with egg white for a more chrunchy crust or milk like i did for a dark shinny crust thats not very crunchy more chewy
  • bake at 350 for 20 min dont open oven until after 20 min then look ans tap on top to make sure it sound hollow not dull and like a lump of dough
  • these are perfect with honey butter or some good pasta!!

    Bread bread and another great bread recipe. Bread making is fun especially braided breads like your Beautiful Braided Buckwheat Bread. The title did fool me I thought it would call for Buckwheat flour.
