A little less lemon/sugar syrup would be in order. The flavor becomes a bit more overpowering once it's frozen. Sub some of the cream for milk, the creaminess is beautiful, but the fat in cream is a little much. With a few alterations, this would be even closer to Italian gelato.

This sounds yummy! Thanks. I am thinking that we must be on a similar wave length today. Check out my Granita Di Limone and Granita Di Caffe that I sent out this morning. Similar and yet very different. Enjoy your weekend!

So that is how you do that. I always wondered. Can you put Rum or Vodka in it? No matter. Now I can make my own Gelato Al Limone Lemon Ice. This is great. *5*
Thank you for sharing this.

Okay, so I'm going to suggest alterations, but I want to give the good news first: This is the closest recipe I've ever found to TRUE Italian gelato. (I've been there recently and I'm picky) Absolutely wonderful, fantastic job. I will make again, with a few small additions.
