How to make it

  • Mix all ingredients except shrimp in large pot, bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer (covered) for 20 minutes
  • Remove pot from heat and stir in shrimp, making sure they're all covered with the liquid. Let the pot cool for about an hour uncovered, then serve with a little of the cooking liquid

    I do love spicy food..especially Jamaican.. thanks for the recipe.. reminds me of Jamaican Mountain shrimp i had in Negril

    Can't wait to try these. I have always brined my shrimp before cooking. I think this method of cooking will be great and you won't end up with flabby overcooked shrimp. I think I'll start with two habanero. Maybe add a sliced lemon too.
    I won't be able to share these with the family. They don't do spicy well.
