How to make it

  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients; knead good and hard on a floured surface. Roll out to 3/8" thick and cut out with Christmas cookie cutters (star, bell, stocking, etc.). Fry in deep oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels over paper grocery bags. Dust with powdered sugar.

This looks like a lovely cookie recipe. I have never tasted a cookie like this but I am certainly anxious to make them. Thank you for sharing your recipe and the heads up with the Wesson vegetable oil and cooking temperature. HIGH 5!

Cheryl, what kind of oil do you use, and at what temp. is the oil? These sound great and I'm looking for an unusual cookie for our xmas cookie exchange.
    Thanks,
    Michele
