How to make it

  • Sift flour with salt baking powder and soda
  • cut 1 tablespoon butter into flour cold
  • melt the rest of butter
  • add the shortning and sourcream add honey and eggs beat until thick and light yellow color, add water stir again
  • pour flour into wet ingredients not vis versa it wont work out, dry into wet, its easier to do this in a few times of adding small amounts of flour until a nice smooth dough
  • heat oven to 350,
  • let cool in fridge, for at leased 20 min, then butter your cast iron skillet very well, and this makes about 5 buscuits plus a few little tid bits i dont like to through out, you bake for 20 min, and eat hot and steamy right from the oven,
  • if you make little tid bites like i did the next day if not eaten, you heat up a skillet with butter slice this in half and brown on one side add brown sugar about a tablespoon for each bite, and some cinnamon,
  • let this cook a little to make a caramal like sauce to pour over heated buscuits, these are soo good with some scrambled eggs, of yeah yumm!
  • enjoy!!
