Grilled Sweet And Savoury Apple Bacon Sandwich Recipe
You will be surprised how tasty this combination is. You get sweet and tangy preserves and apples, crispy savoury bacon, creamy peanut butter and crispy bread.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup peach preserves
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 1 crisp green apple, cored and very thinly sliced
  • 8 slices applewood-smoked bacon, cooked on a rack and tray in oven
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. butter, softened

Directions
  1. Spread preserves on 4 slices of bread.
  2. Top with apples and bacon.
  3. Spread one side of remaining bread slices with peanut butter; place, spread side down, over apples and bacon.
  4. Spread sandwich tops with some of the butter.
  5. Preheat griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  6. Place sandwiches, buttered side down, on griddle.
  7. Spread unbuttered bread with butter.
  8. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side or until bread is golden and sandwiches are heated through.
