Easy Breakfast Pie Recipe
A co-worker brought this in for the breakfast portion of an all day potluck and it was awesome! This was the must-have recipe of the day.

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls
  • 1 (12 ounce) package jimmy dean spicy pork sausage, cooked and drained well
  • 2 cups ore-ida frozen hash browns with onions and peppers
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 dash salt
  • grated parmesan cheese (to taste)

Directions
  1. Press crescent rolls into a greased deep-dish pie pan or a 9" x 9" baking pan.
  2. Layer with hash browns.
  3. Top hash browns with sausage.
  4. Top sausage with cheddar cheese.
  5. Combine eggs, milk and salt in a medium bowl and mix will.
  6. Pour over the cheddar, sausage and hash browns.
  7. Sprinke top with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake at 375 degrees for apx 30-40 minutes.

I was trying to find a similar recipe that a coworker gave me when I lived in Detroit. She's no longer with the same company, but I think this is pretty close to it (she had made it one day for a potluck and it was an instant hit!); I thought her recipe called for it to be rolled into a log & baked...however, I can't see that happening with the amount of eggs I've seen in this recipe (maybe a top layer of croissants?)

can't wait to give it a try!
