Russian Tea Cakes

- 1 cup soft butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups sifted flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 3/4 finely chopped nuts (she used walnuts) shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter, sugar and vanilla extract till mixed well
- Stir in sifted flour and salt
- Add nuts
- Incorporate thoroughly
- Chill dough 2 hours in fridge
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls
- Place on nongreased baking sheet
- Bake at 400* 10-12 minutes till set but not browned
- The dough can be made days ahead if you want.

These are delicious cookies - my mom (Ukrainian) used to make them, too - they are so rich and flavorful, I actually tried them also replacing walnuts (which is still my fave) with almonds, hazelnuts... High 5!
