WAGON BEAN POT This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Gardner Estate in Frisco, Texas in 1994.
Ingredients
- 1 pound great northern beans shopping list
- 1 package ham cubes shopping list
- 16 ounce can stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 1 large onion chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 6 cups water shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse and sort beans.
- Heat all ingredients to boiling with pot uncovered then turn down heat.
- Cover and simmer 4 hours adding enough boiling water to keep beans well covered.
