Malted Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe

Malted Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe
This is my version of a hot chocolate mix that you can make at home. It is creamy and not as dark a chocolate as some other recipes because of the added malted milk powder. It makes great gifts.

Ingredients
  • 25 ounces nonfat dry milk powder
  • 16 ounces powdered coffee creamer
  • 32 ounces Nestle Quick drink mix powder
  • 13 ounces malted milk powder
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions
  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a very large container.
  2. Use a wire whisk to be sure it is distributed evenly.
  3. Divide mixture into jars with tight lids.
  4. DIRECTIONS: Attach to the container.
  5. "To make hot cocoa, place 2 - 3 tablespoons of mix into a mug. Add boiling water and stir well. You may use more or less mix to taste or depending on the size of the mug and your personal taste."
  6. This makes great gifts at Christmas. Simply put some mix into a pretty jar or zip bag, include some mini marshmallows and small candy canes and maybe package it all up with a new mug.

Oh my, gotta make this. My dad would love it!

It is good and really easy - basically combine full boxes and jars of the ingredients. I use one of those really big Tupperware bowls to mix it in.

Thanks a lot for this recipe. Sounds terrific! Will try it soon.

I had time to try it today. I cut your recipe in half and I used Carnation Dark Chocolate mix powder. It is really tasty, chocolaty and creamy and just the right sweetness. Thanks a lot for sharing.
