Hayride Popcorn Recipe
This is a great autumn snack recipe from Gooseberry Patch.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups dried apples, chopped
  • 3 quarts popped popcorn
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
  1. Spread apples in a shallow casserole and bake at 250 for 20 minutes.
  2. Place in large bowl; mix in popcorn and pecan halves.
  3. Whisk remaining ingredients together; drizzle over popcorn mixture, tossing to coat.
  4. Spread into a jelly roll pan; bake at 250 for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  5. Cool and store in an airtight container.
  6. Makes about 4 quarts.

We go on hayrides a lot during the fall season. We usually have to wait in long lines at the haunted ones. What a great snack to share while waiting to get the pants scared off of us! LOL...Thanks so much for this one! ^^5!!
