How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  • Halve sweet potatoes lengthwise; cut halves into wedges. Peel baking potatoes, halve lengthwise and cut halves into wedges.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter; add lime zest, allspice, nutmeg, mace, red pepper flakes and salt. Toss potatoes in butter mixture. Arrange wedges in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden and tender, turning once, about 30 minutes.
  • For sauce, in a bowl, combine sour cream and lime juice. Serve potato wedges with sauce on the side.

    This was SO GOOD. My husband loves roast potatoes, and I love sweet potatoes, so I think this is going to become a standard recipe in our house.

    Tried this recipe using only sweet potatoes to have with Jamaican Jerked Ribs and it was really good -- especially liked the sour cream sauce on the side.
