  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 medium baking potatoes
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
  • 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mace (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  2. Halve sweet potatoes lengthwise; cut halves into wedges. Peel baking potatoes, halve lengthwise and cut halves into wedges.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter; add lime zest, allspice, nutmeg, mace, red pepper flakes and salt. Toss potatoes in butter mixture. Arrange wedges in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden and tender, turning once, about 30 minutes.
  4. For sauce, in a bowl, combine sour cream and lime juice. Serve potato wedges with sauce on the side.

Tried this recipe using only sweet potatoes to have with Jamaican Jerked Ribs and it was really good -- especially liked the sour cream sauce on the side.
