  • Pasta with Garlic Oil
  • 1 lb. Linguine
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (whole)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry hot chili pepper
  • 1/4 cup flat leave parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • ALTERATION by tina is to add 1 or 2 anchovies! Give it a try.

Directions
  1. PREPARATION:
  2. No real prep work for this recipe. Because you have to work fast, make sure all the ingredients on hand and ready to go.
  3. ------------------------------------------
  4. Sauté garlic in olive oil, over medium heat until brown, remove, and reserve.
  5. Mash reserved garlic by using the back of a fork. Return mashed garlic to olive oil.
  6. Cook at high heat for 1 minute.
  7. Add dry chili pepper; cook for an additional minute.
  8. Add parsley and salt, cook 1 more minute.
  9. Add cooked linguine, toss well, arrange on heated serving dish, and sprinkle with black pepper.
  10. Serve without cheese please!

This is something very similiar tom a dish i make. it's fab. quick and easy and you usually have all these inmgredients on hand. great for unexpected company.


Yeah, I could see the nice taste that the anchovies would give.


Yeah this is a good stand by recipe make it all the time....But i do add Cheese, Parmesan Cheese...The kids around here(and most adults to) love their cheese no way around it...lol

Alterations


i always add 1 or 2 anchovies. doesn't taste fishy but adds that something special taste, you're not sure of. it tastes salty but it really makes a big difference.
