My mom had this in her recipe box. She used it quite often. As she got older, she like the convenience of "One Jar Seasoning" and made up quite a few shakers of spice blends.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp cleery seed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dried parsley

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients and grind in a clean coffee grinder, or use a motar and pestle.
  2. Store in a small herb jar
  3. ~@~
  4. 1/8 tsp of herb salt will give you 30 or 40 mg of sodium instead of 200 - 300 mg of plain salt.
