Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour

2 tsps. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

Add to dry ingredients----1 c. chopped nuts

Combine 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons melted shortening (Wesson Oil)

2 c. brown sugar

2 well beaten eggs

2 tsps. vanilla

Directions

Add to dry ingredients.

Spread thinly in well-greased floured pan.

Bake at 350 about 40 minutes.

Cool in pan.

Cut in squares.
