English Cake

- 200 g butter shopping list
- 200 g caster sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 apple , grated shopping list
- 200 g self raising flour and 50 g plain flour shopping list
- 100 g sour cream or yogurt shopping list
- 10 tbsp golden syrup shopping list
How to make it
- Pre heat the oven at 190 deg C .
- Line a 20 cm pan .
- Cream the butter and sugar together .
- Add the vanilla and eggs.
- Now , add the apple , flour and yogurt
- Beat until smooth .
- Spread 5 tbsp golden syrup on bottom of the pan .
- Pour the batter on top .
- Cover it with greased foil with the butter side down and tie it .
- Place in large baking dish and add hot water half way .
- Bake for 75 mins .
- Cool 20 mins out of water .
- Heat 5 tbsp golden syrup and pour on top
- Serve it with fresh fruits .
