Garlic Sauteed Swiss Chard

- 1 pound red or green swiss chard shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic peeled and halved shopping list
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Wash and trim chard then slice stems into 1/2" pieces and roughly chop leaves.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat then sauté garlic in oil several minutes.
- Remove garlic and discard then add chard stems to skillet.
- Cover and cook over medium heat until crisp tender about 4 minutes.
- Add chard leaves then sauté stirring constantly until leaves are wilted about 1 minute.
- Season to taste with lemon juice, salt and pepper.

deeeeelish....but I make it a slightly heartier dish, by adding sauted mushroom slices and chopped sauted onion., YUM and DOUBLE YUM! I hope you try this too!
