Not Just Mashed Potatoes

- 6 medium potaoes, peeled and cubed shopping list
- 2 medium turnips, peeled and cubed shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic, whole or crushed (see directions) shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 4 Tbs butter, cut in chunks shopping list
- 1 pint half and half (you won't use all of it) shopping list
How to make it
- Boil potatoes and turnips in the same pot, until a fork easily goes into both veggies.
- *If you want a mellow garlic flavor, add the peeled garlic cloves whole and boil with veggies.
- Drain veggies and return to pot, add butter and enough half and half to gain the consistancy you prefer, Mash well
- *If you want a stronger garlic flavor, crush cloves into veggies before you mash veggies. Mix well and heat through again.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
