Ingredients

4 cinnamon sticks

8 whole cloves

8 cups of apple juice

8 cranberry or blueberry tea bags

1 lemon or orange, sliced

honey or sugar, to taste (optional)

Directions

wrap cloves and cinnamon in cheese cloth or a coffee filter and tie with twine

ia a 4 quart sauce pan, bring apple juice and spice packet just to a boil.

remove from heat and add tea bags and steep for 5-6 minutes.

remove tea bags and spices and serve hot. I you care to make it a toddy, add 1 1/2 ounces of calvados.

if serving cold, just remove tea bags and let cool, can refrigerate several hours or overnight.

fill a tall glass with ice and tea, can add 1 1/2 ounce of calvados for a toddy.

This may be nice any time of year but I promise that it's really cozy when it's cold out, the fireplace is roaring, and I have a really good book to get lost in. A huge mug of mulled tea by my side just makes it a perfect momnet.
