Butter-pecan Cake

- 2 1/4 c. flour shopping list
- 2/3 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1 c. brown sugar shopping list
- 3 tsps. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 3/4 c. shortening shopping list
- 1 c. sweet milk shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 3/4 c. pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Sift flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt into bowl.
- By hand blend brown sugar in flour mixture.
- Add shortening and 3/4 cup of milk.
- Beat 2 minutes.
- Add eggs and remaining milk and vanilla.
- Beat 2 minutes.
- Stin in pecans.
- Bake in 2 9 inch pans greased and line bottoms with wax paper.
- Bake 375 for 20 to 25 minutes or until done when tested.
- Ice with carmel icing.
