I am getting desperate for a recipe I lost about 8 years ago. It was from, I think, Gourmet Magazine around the early 80's. It was called Carrot Cake-The Picnic Basket. The Picnic Basket was a restaurant in Pa. I think.

Directions
- This particular recipe is, without a doubt, the best carrot cake ever. It was made in three 8" round pans and torted with cream cheese frosting BETWEEN ALL SIX LAYERS with a hint of pineapple. When I moved 8 years ago I lost a recipe box that contained years of tried and true recipes from Gourmet and Food and Wine. If anyone knows how I can acquire this recipe please let me know.
