Kentucky Icebox Eggnog Cake Recipe
This is a very impressive, very pretty, very tasty dessert that goes a long way not only because it is rich, but because there is a lot of it. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 pound confectioner's sugar
  • 6 tablespoons bonded whiskey
  • 5 eggs separated and beaten
  • 1 cup chopped English walnuts
  • 3 dozen lady fingers
  • Whipped cream

Directions
  1. Cream together butter and sugar then set aside.
  2. Add whiskey to well beaten egg yolks and mix well.
  3. Add yolk mixture to creamed butter and sugar then add stiffly beaten egg whites and nuts.
  4. Line mold or square cake pan with waxed paper on bottom and sides.
  5. Cover bottom of pan with lady fingers with top sides of cakes down.
  6. Cover with a layer of mixture then top with lady fingers then layer on more of the mixture.
  7. Finish with a layer of lady fingers top sides of cakes up then refrigerate 12 hours.
  8. Ice with whipped cream flavored with vanilla or bourbon.
