Kentucky Icebox Eggnog Cake

- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 1 pound confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 6 tablespoons bonded whiskey shopping list
- 5 eggs separated and beaten shopping list
- 1 cup chopped English walnuts shopping list
- 3 dozen lady fingers shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together butter and sugar then set aside.
- Add whiskey to well beaten egg yolks and mix well.
- Add yolk mixture to creamed butter and sugar then add stiffly beaten egg whites and nuts.
- Line mold or square cake pan with waxed paper on bottom and sides.
- Cover bottom of pan with lady fingers with top sides of cakes down.
- Cover with a layer of mixture then top with lady fingers then layer on more of the mixture.
- Finish with a layer of lady fingers top sides of cakes up then refrigerate 12 hours.
- Ice with whipped cream flavored with vanilla or bourbon.
